Beth is a feeler, a believer in second and third chances, a hopeful and wise friend and someone that embraces the ordinary day and holds it up as extraordinary.

She used to wrap me up in my purple towel after my bath and sing to me, she would make me my favorite meal whenever I came home from college (which was only 15 miles away) and never fell asleep until everyone was safe in their beds.

She is a free-spirit who gives without taking and loves her growing family in a way that, as she says, multiplies but can never divide.

She is a nurse, a mom, a grandmother, a wife, a friend, a volunteer, an advocate, a traveler, a Jesus-lover and a pursuer.

I hope I can emulate her throughout my life.

I think we should have more than just one day a year set aside for our parents.

I love you, Mama. I hope it was a happy Mother's Day.
